When shooting the photographs I needed to consider lighting and that the images need to be black and white. The lighting needed to be natural as it is in the given image. I have taken photograph for the 3 shots planned above and an additional shot of the letter up close under the door.
Shot 2
This is shot 2 in the sequence. It is Flat A's door on the inside as this is where Flat Owner A will notice the letter under her door. The shot before this (my version of the given door photo) will be the start to the narrative to give a context of the two flats being opposite each other, the audience will find out the significance of the two doors throughout the narrative. I tried to centralize the door in the composition.
Shot 3
This is another shot of the same door, however now a piece of paper is seen under the door. By putting a photo before this one without the paper underneath then with it makes the audience see that this piece of paper is going to be very significant in the narrative to follow.
Additinal Shot
This shot was not originally in the storyboard but thought it was good for the viewer to see the letter up close. I did shoot this image originally in landscape and realized after the light had dropped that I need to shoot in portrait. So if I am to do a photograph with a close up I need to reshoot.
Shot3
This is the third shot in the narrative of Flat Owner A reading the letter left under the door. This is just a test image so what I wrote on the letter isn't full proof yet. I wrote the letter as if Flat Owner B was inviting Flat Owner A for a drink sometime with some other neighbors. This would be the opening into A looking into B's flat later on, as if going to look for her to reply to the letter, when she will notice the photo in the door way.
None of these shots will be used in my final narrative as they were simply test shots into how the lighting and compositions will work. I will gain feedback on these images and the latest storyboard. If changes need to be made after the advice to be given I will do the changes then this week make sure I shoot the whole narrative as I only have a couple of weeks left on the module.
